The Phoenix Band and Colorguard Boosters is an organization established to support the instrumental music and colorguard programs at JCB.  The Boosters are headed by a Board of Directors’ consisting of: President, Vice President, Secretary, Corresponding Secretary and treasurer and Members at Large.

     Meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month in the library at JCB High School. 

The Boosters support the high school instrumental music programs and high school and middle school winterguard programs in a variety of ways.  The following is a sample of the Booster supported activities: 

¯   Plan and organize fundraisers

¯   Plan staff and carryout 3 major events: Fall Marching Band Show, and 2 Winterguard Shows

¯   Buy food for and feed students at a variety of times and events

¯   Act as hosts, ushers etc. for concerts.

¯   Operate Concession stands

¯   Build props, sew flags, move equipment etc.

¯   Purchase: Computer equipment for music classes, riffles, sabers, flags, marching band uniforms, drum line equipment, floor mats and much more. 

¯   Send students to advanced music competitions.

¯  Give Scholarships to students (2008 - gave out 8 - $500.00 Scholarships)

¯   Assist in coordinating and chaperoning trips

Membership is as simple as filling out a membership form and paying the $1.00 per year fee.  Membership is open to parents, alumni and friends – join us!

     History of the Phoenix Band and Colorguard Booster Club, Inc.

While the Phoenix Band and Colorguard Boosters have been supporting the Music Programs at JCB for many years, they were officially incorporated in November of 1995.

As part of it’s organizational process, by-laws were established and the first meeting of the membership was held at JCB High School on February 13, 1996 at 7:00 pm.  The following is a result of the election of officers:

As a result of the hard work and dedication of many devoted parents, there have been a great deal of fundraisers to support the wonderful programs at Phoenix.  Soon to come will be a list of those areas that the boosters have supported.
